Nancy Minnie (Stevens) Wesley, 94, of Marble Falls passed away on April 11, 2019, with her family by her side. She was born on November 16, 1924, to Ned Blaine and Lois Seone (Vandemark) Stevens in Endicott, New York. Nancy grew up in northern New York and Pennsylvania and often reflected on fond memories made there.
She married Donald Wesley on March 30, 1948, in Union New York. In 1975, they moved to Austin, Texas, and later settled in Kingsland, Texas, where they enjoyed their retirement.
Nancy was a spunky little school teacher and an accomplished musician who loved to play the piano and chat with friends. She loved to teach and invested her time in both first-grade schoolchildren and piano students. After settling in the Kingsland, she played for various churches and events in the Highland Lakes area.
She was a member of several churches, but most recently, the Presbyterian church. She was a 50-year member of the Mach wi hi lusing Chapter of the DAR in Wyalusing, Pennsylvania, faithfully paying her dues even after moving to Texas. One of her favorite pastimes was swimming at the YMCA in Burnet. This is how she enjoyed staying active during the latter part of her life.
Nancy is survived by her three daughters, Sharol, Faith, and Celeste; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald Wesley.
A graveside service will be held at Llano City Cemetery at a later date. An online registry may be signed at putnamcares.com.
