Falls on the Colorado Museum seeking new members
The Falls on the Colorado Museum is holding its membership drive for 2019.
The Marble Falls facility is celebrating its 20th year, thanks in large part to the support of current and past members, according to a museum media release.
The Falls on the Colorado Museum relies on memberships, donations, gifts, and memorial contributions from individuals and groups. Hotel Occupancy Tax funds and grants are requested for specific projects, such as transforming Rockie, a 700-year-old bison skeleton, from boxes of bones to a permanent display.
Membership benefits include:
• helping to preserve the past for future generations;
• homemade goodies at many events;
• front-area seating at popular presentations;
• and the use of either of the museum’s two meeting rooms for group meetings, family reunions, and get-togethers.
A family membership costs $50; a one-person membership is $30. Corporate memberships are $50 each.
The Falls on the Colorado Museum, located at 2001 Broadway, presents ever-changing displays, permanent exhibits on local history, and programs by top-notch presenters.
Membership forms are available at the front desk of the museum. Normal hours of operation are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday-Saturday. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
