Billie J. Cummins, 81, of Kingsland, Texas, passed away Jan. 30, 2018. He was born to Josephine (Watham) and Archie Ray Cummins on March 1, 1936, in Henderson, Kentucky.
Billie proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force for six years. He was a roughneck in the oilfield for many years, a member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association, the DAV, and Hill Country Fellowship Church, where he served as an usher and a greeter for many years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family, friends, and church family.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Cummins of Kingsland; son Billy Cummins Jr., and fiancé Aimee of Harker Heights; daughter Tina Tooley, of Indiana; son Donovan Cummins and wife Ruthie of Indiana; daughter Latosha Jones and husband Marty and their son Nikia and daughter-in-law, all of Indiana; son Shawn Keith Burford and wife Twila of Lubbock; daughter Melissa Cameron and husband Danny of Kingsland; daughter Tamara Breda and husband Ron of Lewisville; daughter Crystal Swearingon and husband Sam of Kingsland; son Shawn Michael Taylor-Cummins of Big Spring; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Dominesa Rigdon, and sister Susan Westerman.
A memorial service is 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at Hill Country Fellowship in Burnet with inurnment at a later date at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
