PEC accepting nominations for director candidates in districts 1, 6, 7

JOHNSON CITY — Pedernales Electric Cooperative is accepting nominations from eligible candidates in districts 1, 6, and 7 who are interested in running for the cooperative’s board of directors.

Members seeking nomination for PEC director positions are required by cooperative by-laws to do so through a petition process. Directors serve three-year terms.

Verifiable signatures from 50 members who live within the nominee’s board district or have designated a voting residence within that district are required.

PEC’s Board District 1 mostly includes parts of Bell, Burnet, Lampasas, Travis, and Williamson counties.

District 6 mostly includes parts of Blanco, Comal, Edwards, Hays, Kerr, Kinney, and Real counties.

District 7 includes parts of Caldwell, Hays, and Travis counties.

Completed petition materials must be received at PEC headquarters, 201 S. Avenue F, no later than 5 p.m. March 30.

Members will be able to vote by mail or online between May 24 and June 15 or in person at the cooperative’s annual meeting June 23 in Spring Branch.
