MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School volleyball team is honoring first responders and veterans before the varsity takes on Lockhart at about 7 p.m. Sept. 9 in Max Copeland Gym on the Marble Falls High School campus, 2101 Mustang Drive.

It’s the District 26-5A opener.

The school is paying tribute to those who gave so much after the terrorists attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

Author Linda M. Christner will address the crowd. She was in New York and documented what happened on Sept 11 when two hijacked planes piloted by terrorists flew into the World Trade Center towers.

“She’ll say a few words about the experience,” said Jennifer Kline, Marble Falls Athletic Booster Club member and parent.
