Two San Angelo men die in two-vehicle Llano County crash

LLANO — Two San Angelo men died June 8 in a two-vehicle accident at the junction of Texas 29 and Texas 71 about two miles west of Llano.

According to a Texas Department of Public Safety report, Darron Walton, 37, and Bryan Owen, 36, both of San Angelo, died at the scene after the 2005 Ford Expedition in which they were traveling struck a 2015 Dodge pickup pulling a trailer at about 5:10 a.m.

Walton was driving south on Texas 71 when he disregarded the stop sign at the Texas 71-29 junction and struck a 2015 Dodge pickup towing a 2013 Cimarron trailer, which was heading west on Texas 29, according to the DPS report.

The two vehicles and trailer left the road after the impact.

Walton and Owen were pronounced dead at the scene by Llano County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Bebe Piatt.

The driver and one passenger of the 2015 pickup were uninjured while a third suffered incapacitating injuries.
