B. Anne Scruggs, 80, of Kingsland, Texas, passed away March 23, 2016. She was born to Marvin C. and Jean (Riley) Hill on Nov. 24, 1935, in San Angelo, Texas.
She was an office worker and homemaker and once was a national champion pianist. She was a member of the Burnet Heritage Society that helped out at Fort Croghan in Burnet, Texas. She also was a member of the Church of Christ and an avid Burnet Bulldogs fan.
She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed camping, games and traveling.
She is survived by her sons, Stephen Scruggs and wife Lesa of Kingsland and Loy “Buzz” Scruggs Jr. of Jacksonville; sister, Jan Baze and husband Bill of Rainbow; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary “Tinkie” Scruggs of Jacksonville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband of over 55 years, Loy.
A memorial service is 10 a.m. April 2 at Putnam Funeral Home, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008.
