Beulah Ellen Garrett peacefully went to be with her Heavenly Father on Nov. 10, 2015, surrounded by her family. Beulah, or “Bea” as she was affectionately known, was born Feb. 14, 1945, in Burnet.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe Burton and Ruby (Hall) Burton, and sister Wilma Webb.

Bea is survived by her husband, James “Billy” Garrett; daughter, Brenda Garrett; son, Brian Garrett and wife Shannon; granddaughters, Allyssa and Madalyn Garrett; sisters Joyce Althaus (Keith), Renda Paschall and Othella Alderson (Myron); brother, Arnold Burton (Diane); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bea had a passion for caring for people and chose nursing as her career. She graduated from Wharton Junior College in 1982 and had a long, rewarding career specializing in pediatric home health care.

Bea was an amazing person and loved to be with family. Family time always held a special meaning for her. There was always laughter and a fun time had by all. Beulah was loved and will be missed dearly.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Nov. 14 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 756-2222. A funeral service is 2 p.m. Nov. 15 at the funeral home with Kent Singleton officiating. Burial will follow at Cauble Cemetery near Lake Victor. Pallbearers are Clay Burton, Trent Burton, Mike Herrera, Marion Webb, Brad Webb and Tommy Webb.
