Timy Simmons Davidson, a longtime and beloved resident of Bertram, Texas, passed away Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, at the Bertram Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born on Nov. 28, 1922, in Liberty Hill, Texas, and made her home here in the Hill Country.

Timy enjoyed cooking for her family, and her family especially loved her delicious pecan pies and fresh peach and berry cobblers. She loved gardening and had that special touch with plants and flowers and always received many compliments on how beautiful they were. Timy also enjoyed visiting with family and friends and was never too busy for a quick chat or a long phone conversation.  She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Grover Randal Davidson III, Martha Pogue and Roger

Davidson (and wife, Debbie); grandsons Terry Glen Pogue, Louis Randall “Randy” Pogue (and wife, Kami) and Logan Davidson; granddaughter, Janet Davidson; and great-grandchildren, Cole Elliott, Blake Elliott and Chance Pogue.

Timy was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Grover Randal “Tince” Davidson; grandson Chris Wayne Pogue; brother, C.L. Simmons; and sisters, Dora Mable Kauffman and Ima Jewel Augustat.

Services were held Sunday, Sept. 20, at First Baptist Church in Bertram, where Timy was a member, with burial following at Liberty Hill Cemetery.
