AUSTIN — A 24-year-old Granite Shoals man died Jan. 18 after an accident on North Lamar Boulevard in Austin.
According to an Austin Police Department release, Bryan Lee Randle was traveling south on North Lamar in a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe when he apparently lost control of the vehicle, which became airborne. The Tahoe hit a nearby building before coming to rest on three parked trucks.
APD officials say Randle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The preliminary investigation determined the Tahoe was traveling at “a high rate of speed” prior to the deadly accident.
The case is still under investigation. Anyone with information regarding the accident is asked to call the APD Vehicular Homicide Unit at (512) 974-5594.
Randle’s funeral is 2 p.m. Jan. 22 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, with the Rev. Dwight Faulk officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
