Robert O. Vesper, 88, of Burnet died Dec. 18, 2014
Robert O. “Bob” Vesper, 88, passed away Dec. 18, 2014, in Burnet, Texas. He was born July 23, 1926, to John Henry and Hilda Vesper in Long Pine, Nebraska.
He married Gloria Larson in 1948 in Ironwood, Michigan, and they were married for 66 years.
Bob was in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He graduated from the University of Nebraska and worked for Exxon and its predecessor companies for 36 years.
Bob is survived by his wife, Gloria of Burnet; daughter, Janice Vesper Martin and husband C. David Martin of Florida; sister, Helen Stec of Nebraska; and granddaughters Claire and husband David Smith and Sheila and husband Michael Bentley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert David Vesper; and two brothers.
A funeral service is 11 a.m. Dec. 22 at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Stan Troy officiating. Interment is 10 a.m. Dec. 23 at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.
