BURNET — Inks Lake State Park is offering a Hooting Holiday Crafts and Open House at the bird blind in December along with its regular monthly outdoor activities.

The crafts event is for all ages and is 1-5 p.m. Dec. 27 at the new bird blind. Participants can make holiday owls from pine cones and participate in the annual Christmas bird count. The program is free with park entrance fees.

The park is located at 3630 Park Road 4. Entrance fees are $6 for ages 13 and older; $3 for Texas residents 65 and older; and free for ages 12 and younger.

Other activities include:

  • Twilight hike at Spring Creek, 5-6 p.m. Fridays. Free with entrance fees.
  • Night Sky Party star-gazing, 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Cost is $10 plus entrance fees.
  • Fishing with a Ranger, 10-11 a.m. Saturdays. Free with entrance fees.
  • Stumpy Hollow Hike, 10 a.m. Dec. 6 and 20. Free with entrance fees.
  • Junior Ranger Adventure, 1-2 p.m. Dec. 13. Free with entrance fees.
  • Dutch oven cooking class, 3 p.m. Dec. 13. Free with entrance fees.
  • Starry Sky Night Hike (ages 8 and older), 5:30-7 p.m. Dec. 13. Free with entrance fees.
  • Hike the Hill Country, 10 a.m. Dec. 13 and 27. Bring food and water. Free with entrance fees.
  • Geology Rocks!, noon-2 p.m. Dec. 20. Free with entrance fees.
  • Bat and Owl Prowl Under the Moon one-mile hike, 6 p.m. Dec. 27. Free with entrance fees.
