She loved to fish, work crossword puzzles and spend time having fun with her children, grandchildren and great-children, who all dearly loved their “Grammy.”
She was born July 6, 1930, in Avoca, Texas, to Walter Pierce and Ajulia Weeks
She was first married to Furman Ray “Hootie” Norwood for more than 20 years. They had three children. Ray passed away in November 1994, and she later married Carl Lee Kelley of Bertram, who passed away in December 2000.
She is survived by her son Jeff Norwood and wife Anita of Texarkana, Texas; two daughters, Cheryl Stout-Allen and husband Gary of Bertram and Jan McCoy Hutcheson and husband Bob of Texarkana; grandsons, Keith Norwood and wife Katheryn of Texarkana, Karl Norwood and wife Denise of Port Arthur, Jake McCoy and wife Melissa of Texarkana, Rusty Stout of Horseshoe Bay and Kyle Norwood and wife Holly of Bryant, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Jayme McCoy of North Little Rock, Arkansas; great-granddaughters, Alyssa Jordon Norwood Flanagan and husband Hunter, Ariel Pool, Gracie McCoy, Khloe, Kylie and Karlynn Norwood, and Aly and Lillee Suggitt; great-grandsons Cade McCoy, Brody Norwood, Camaron and Kendale Ford, and D.J. Suggitt; brothers Don Weeks of Longview, James Weeks of Sulphur Springs, Daulton Weeks of White Oak and Jimmy Weeks of Friendswood; sisters Vareta Smith of Texarkana and Patsy Smith of Rowlett; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Mac was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Ajulia Weeks; sister Nell Raney; brother Jay Weeks; her children’s father, Ray Norwood; husband, Carl Kelley; son Carl Norwood; and great-grandson Blake Norwood
Visitation is 10 a.m.-noon Nov. 14 at Edgar & Jenkins Family Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St. in Burnet, (512) 756-4444. A graveside service will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
