Wallace Edward Montgomery, 73, of Tow dies Nov. 6, 2014
Wallace “Wally” Edward Montgomery, 73, passed away Nov. 6, 2014, at the home he shared with wife Barbara in Tow, Texas.
Wally was born in Georgetown, Texas, on July 24, 1941, to William Sherman Montgomery and Myrtle Elizabeth Montgomery, who preceded him in death.
He married Barbara Jean Wood on Feb. 13, 1965. Wally was retired from Southwestern University in Georgetown.
Wally is survived by his life partner and wife, Barbara; two daughters, Virginia Moerbe and husband Wesley and Vickie Montgomery; four grandchildren, Kevin Moerbe (Loretta), Morgan Moerbe (Jeff), Elizabeth Herkomer (Sam) and Melaine Hutchens; two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Coley; brother, James V. “Butch” Montgomery and wife Lyne; four nephews; and numerous loving family and friends.
A memorial service is 2 p.m. Nov. 10 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300.
