Frances Boultinghouse lost her courageous battle with cancer Nov. 4, 2014, and went to be with her Lord and Savior.

At the time of her death, she was surrounded by her loving family, including her husband, Davie Boultinghouse; daughter, Debra Cole and husband Kyle of Elgin; and son Chris Boultinghouse and wife Liz of Austin. Frances is also survived by her grandchildren, Courtney Jenkins and husband Rod of Fort Worth, Kristin Schroeder and husband Wesley and Krystal Carlson, all of Elgin; and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Tucker Schroeder of Elgin.

Frances Joan Skoog was born in Austin on Oct. 1, 1939. She married her best friend and Round Rock High School sweetheart, Davie Boultinghouse, in Jollyville on June 14, 1958.

Frances and Davie lived in Round Rock for the first 25 years of their marriage, then moved to the Leander/Liberty Hill area in 1983. In 1997, they decided to have an adventure and moved to Birch Tree, Missouri, where they made many dear friends. After seven years, they made their way back to Texas to be closer to their family.

The Boultinghouses settled in Bangs, Texas, near Brownwood, where they became close with friends and neighbors.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha and Kermit Skoog, and oldest son, Floyd Boultinghouse.

A graveside service is noon Nov. 7 at Smithwick Cemetery, 100 CR 244A about 11 miles southeast of Marble Falls off RR 1431.

The family asks that any flowers be delivered to Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373.
