BURNET — The Burnet High School volleyball team began District 25-4A play the way it ended its predistrict schedule.

The Lady Dawgs defeated Lampasas 25-21, 25-18, 21-11 on Sept. 26 in the division opener on the heels of beating Georgetown Gateway Prep 25-20, 25-20, 25-13 on Sept. 23.

Burnet head coach Salye Coles said was pleased with the start to district play.

“We played a phenomenal match,” she said. “We kept a really nice tempo throughout the match.”

During the win against Gateway, Samantha Edwards served 10 consecutive points.
