OBITUARY: Walter Roy Lauttenbach, 73, of Kingsland dies Sept. 5, 2014

Walter Roy “Walt” Lauttenbach of Kingsland, Texas, passed away Sept. 5, 2014. He was born to Phillip and Rose (Guthrie) Lauttenbach on March 8, 1941, in Los Angeles.

Walt was member of the Hill Country Singles, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, a past member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and a past board member of the Kingsland Community/Convention Center.

He enjoyed gardening, dancing, fishing and traveling. Walt was well loved by all and never knew a stranger.

Mr. Lauttenbach is survived by son Stan Beck and wife Susan of Albuquerque, N.M., and daughter, Maureen Radil of Victorville, Calif. He is also survived by his loving companion of 14 years, Ruth Kjos, with whom he won several dancing competitions.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Phillip Beck.

A memorial service is 11 a.m. Sept. 10 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 1803 RR 1431 West in Marble Falls, with the Rev. Danielle Moore Casey officiating. The Highland Lakes Honor Guard will be furnishing military honors.
