Ruth Eva Wolf passed away peacefully Aug. 2, 2014, in Burnet, Texas. She was a third-generation rancher born Oct. 30, 1915, to Thomas S. and Hibernia Moreland Wolf.

Her pioneer family has continuously farmed and raised cattle, sheep and goats in Burnet County since 1883.

During the long life with which she was blessed, Ruth enjoyed oil painting, sewing and baking. She loved working in her flower beds and manicuring the lawn. Not too many years ago, she could be frequently seen on her big, red riding lawnmower cutting the grass at the home she shared with her sister Kate on North Main Street in Burnet.

Ruth was preceded in death by her three sisters, Ernestine Wolf, Kate Wolf and Edna Wolf Pabst, and brother, Ben “Buck” Wolf.

Survivors include two nieces and several cousins.

A family graveside service and interment is 10:30 a.m. Aug. 6 at Bethel Cemetery with the Rev. Dawn Rosignal officiating.

The family wishes to express its appreciation to the staff and friends at Country Oaks Hamilton Creek assisted living center for years of love and care.

For those who wish, memorials in Ruth’s honor may be made to First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) or a charity of their choice.

Arrangements by Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 756-2222.
