A life so young released to Heaven …
Left on Earth, we wonder “why?”
But some are sent among us briefly …
Some have spirits meant to fly.
Zachary attended Burnet schools but obtained his GED through Gary Job Corps following a license in landscaping. Most recently, he was employed as a journeyman electrician.
Zach, the baby of the bunch, always had a smile on his face and was the one to make you laugh even when you wanted to cry. He loved to fish, but his passion was music. He dreamed of becoming a songwriter and a composer. He loved his entire family. His older brother, sister and first cousin Iecia were his best friends. Zachary was outgoing, and he never met a stranger.
He is survived by his mother, Renee Sanders Bird, and stepfather, George Bird of Johnson City; father, Donald Conely of Killeen; brother, Eric Conely of Burnet; sister, Brittany Conely of Dallas; grandmothers, Texas Smith of Burnet and Fannie Conely of Killeen; great-grandparents Richard and Dorothy Sanders and Lucille Foster of Burnet; aunt Samanitha Smith and uncle Troy Bell of Austin; aunts Janice Banks of Marble Falls, Necole Conely, Sandra Miles, Lisa Allen of Austin and Betty Ann Conely; and uncles David and Warren Conely of Marble Falls, Jeffery Conely of Brownwood and Ortan Haywood of Bastrop. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Aug. 4 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 756-2222. A funeral service is 10 a.m. Aug. 5 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Burnet City Cemetery.
