Ethel Grogan, 96, of Marble Falls passed away May 13, 2014. She was born and raised in Mobile, Ala., and eventually moved to the Hill Country of Texas that she loved so much.

Ethel spent her first years of adulthood working as a legal secretary. She was a lifelong Episcopalian, and a longtime member of Trinity Episcopal Church and the Highland Arts Guild in Marble Falls.

Ethel was preceded in death by her first husband, Grant Woodruff; second husband, James Grogan, two sons, Glen Woodruff and Douglas Woodruff; and grandsons Glen Woodruff and Jeffery Alig.

She is survived by her two daughters, Suzan Alig and Sherrie Grogan, both of Oklahoma; grandchildren Brewer Regan, Nicholas, John and Peter Alig, Gina and Jeff Woodruff, Lori Seits, Christy Fisher, Dawn Carrico, Dana Keith and Ryan Grogan; and16 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is 10:30 a.m. July 23 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Marble Falls followed by interment at Fort Sam National Cemetery in San Antonio at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church of Marble Falls or Hospice Compassus of Round Rock.
