Faith Academy’s new administrator a ‘perfect fit’

FROM STAFF REPORTS

MARBLE FALLS — The Faith Academy of Marble Falls board has picked a Californian to lead the University-Model private Christian school.

The board announced the hiring of Joe Rispoli of Tustin, Calif., to replace current administrator Mark Earwood, who has accepted a position at Statesville Christian School in Statesville, N.C.

Rispoli has been the administrator at Spirit Christian Academy in Tustin for the past eight years. Like Faith Academy, Spirt Christian Academy also follows the University-Model. Along with an educational background, Rispoli also brings business experience with him. He finished in the top five in sales for many years in a nationwide disaster recovery company.

After his business career, Rispoli jumped into a teaching and ministry.

“We went through a rigorous search and interview process,” said Curt Johnson, the Faith Academy board chairman. “We were looking for someone with the right personal and professional qualities to help propel our school forward and built on the positive momentum we enjoy now. Joe’s blend of experience and interpersonal skills made him the perfect fit.”

The Rispolis might be from California, but they have felt the Texas pull. Rispoli’s oldest daughter attends Texas A&M University, and his two younger daughters have eyes on that institution as well.

“The Lord is calling our entire family to the state of Texas,” Rispoli said. “When he opened up the opportunity to join Faith Academy, we were excited to answer the call.”

Along with being an educator, Rispoli served as a church elder and marriage and family pastor for many years. For the past seven years, Rispoli worked with The Truth Project team and Community in Action, leading conferences and building a collaborative faith-based organization focused on meeting the needs of local communities.

Rispoli has been married to his wife, Rhonda, for 23 years. Their three daughters are Nicole, 22, Renee, 20, and Courtney, 18.

“Joe Rispoli represents the Lord’s clear choice for the next leader of Faith Academy,” said Stuart Nunnally, a Faith Academy founder and longtime supporter. “His strengths are a perfect fit for the needs of the school moving forward. Our future remains bright and we look forward to Joe joining the Faith Academy family.”

Rispoli will begin transitioning to Marble Falls starting July 1 with the goal of being relocated and settled at Faith Academy by Aug. 1.
