OBITUARY: Bettie Broadway, 79, of Kingsland dies June 6, 2014
Bettie Jane Broadway of Kingsland, Texas, passed away June 4, 2014, at the age of 79. She was born June 18, 1935, in Eden, Texas, to Doyle and Dolly (McGriffin) Wilson.
She married John Broadway on June 6, 1953, in San Angelo, Texas. Bettie was a Kingsland resident since 1995, coming from Ramstein, Germany.
She loved to go RVing with her husband, John. She also loved sewing, gardening and hunting.
Bettie was a member of Kingsland Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 2013; parents; daughter Tony Kay and husband Thomas Smith; sister Lenora Baily; and brother Doyle Wilson.
Survivors include son, John Broadway and wife Jo Ann of Atoka, Okla.; daughters Kara Leming and husband Jason of Kingsland and Dae Ann Cannon and husband Voyd; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time.
