Marble Falls girls golf season ends with third-place finish at district tourney

LAKEWAY — The Marble Falls High School girls golf team completed its 2013-2014 season with a third-place finish at the District 25-4A tournament March 24-25.

The Lady Mustangs made up seven strokes on the second day, though they still finished with a score of 388-369–757.

“The girls made a tremendous charge during the cold and windy second round,” Marble Falls head coach Lonnie Tackitt said.

Breanna Heinzke led the team with a two-round total of 178 for eighth place. While she did not qualify for the Region IV tournament, she made first team all-district for the top 10 performance.
