HARPER — The Faith Academy of Marble Falls girls track team placed sixth at the Harper Relays on March 20.
The Lady Flames earned 51 total points.
“This meet was much larger than last year, so it was very competitive,” Faith head coach Steve McCannon said. “This was also the meet after Spring Break, so we were a little rusty. We are getting closer to the district meet, and our times are getting better each week, especially on the relays. We just need to keep working hard and competing. We will need to be ready when it counts.”
Sophie McCannon set a meet record in the 3,200 meters with a time of 12 minutes 4.09 seconds.
“That was very exciting,” the coach said. “Sophie keeps improving each week and putting herself into contention for state titles.”
