BURNET — The Burnet High School tennis team defeated Austin St. Michael’s 11-6 on March 18.

Many Bulldogs contributed to the overall match scores in both singles and doubles.

In singles, Price Carpenter, Tyler Lyons and Austin Crain each won a match in the boys division, and Micayla Light won a match in the girls division.

The girls doubles team of Light and Brooke Hemphill, the boys doubles teams of Luke Webb and Cable Anders, Brian Bullock and Caleb Cardoza, Zach McLeskey and Brian Bullock and Axl Gonzales and Brock Wilson, and the mixed doubles team of Carpenter and Hailey Wilson, all won at least one match.

“Burnet has played well in the doubles area, working on strategies and movement,” head coach Tammy Hullum said, “and their efforts showed.”
