Mildred Pauline Banks was born to Albert and Ruth Clendennen on Sept. 11, 1929, in Austin, Texas, and died March 10, 2014, at the age of 84.  She was a resident of Burnet, Texas.

Mildred married Donald N. Banks on Nov. 13, 1971, in Burleson, Texas.

Mildred created beauty wherever she went. She was a talented artist in many creative venues, including painting, quilting, sewing, crochet, doll making and landscape art. She also instilled in others the value of creating and was a great teacher.

Mildred was a patient and loving grandmother who always looked out for her family.

She is survived by her husband, Donald N. Banks; son, David L. Burt, and daughter Joyce L. Lyle and their spouses; sisters, Emma Harris and Peggy Sturdevant; stepchildren, Linda Miller, Jimmy Banks, Donny Banks and John Banks and their spouses; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Linda C. Burt.

A graveside service is 10 a.m.  March 14 at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Vandeventer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Scott & White Hospice in Llano.
