MARBLE FALLS — Area school districts are holding off on the first bell March 4 due to the inclement weather.

Burnet Consolidated Independent School District, Llano Independent School District, Faith Academy and Marble Falls Independent School District officials announced just after 5 a.m. that they are delaying classes by two hours.

Johnson City ISD officials are holding off classes until 10 a.m.

A line of showers, even a few thunderstorms, made its way through the Highland Lakes during the overnight hours. This coupled with freezing temperatures could cause hazardous driving conditions.

According to weather officials, the freezing temperatures should remain until midmorning before the mercury begins moving above 32 degrees.

The rain should move out by early afternoon with temperatures climbing into the upper 40s.
