A service for Robert Lee Ford, 77, of Burnet was Jan. 5 at Edgar Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St. in Burnet, (512) 756-4444, with Pastor Glen Hickman officiating.

Robert was born Jan. 18, 1936, in Hunt County, Texas, to John and Allie Saxton Ford and passed from this life Jan. 3, 2014, in Marble Fall, Texas.

He retired in August 1997 after 30-plus years of service in construction for the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA).

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and two brothers.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nora Irvin Ford of Burnet; sons, Robert Dee Ford and Albert Lee Ford, both of Burnet; daughter, Patty Hultz and husband Steve of Burnet; brothers John Ford Jr. of Monahans and Truman Ford of Slaton; granddaughters, Tanya Bilbery of Burnet and Katie Healon of Fort Hood; grandson, Tyler Ford of Burnet; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him.
