SPICEWOOD — The Spicewood Arts Society will Shake, Rattle & Roll on Jan. 18 when the all-female doo-wop group comes to town.
The performance is 7 p.m. at the 225-seat Spicewood Vineyards Events Center, 1419 Burnet CR 409, located about 18 miles east of Marble Falls.
Tickets are $45 each and may be purchased at www.spicewoodarts.org or by calling (512) 264-2820. If individual tickets sell out, email email@example.com to be placed on a waiting list.
Shake, Rattle & Roll performs music from the 1950s and ’60s “with a toe-tapping, twisting mix of rock and roll and rollicking comedy,” said Janey Richardson, president of the Spicewood Arts Society.
“This quartet of East Texas women serves up music and fun for just about everyone, whether they grew up in that era or not,” Richardson said. “We’re even inviting our patrons to show up in their favorite poodle skirts, pony tails, pleated pants and Oxfords.”
The concert is part of the “Season Capriccio.” Upcoming performances in the series include the Texas Guitar Quartet in March, The Matt Wilson Band in April and the fourth annual Tony Campise Jazz Concert in Mary.
