Frances J. Hatcher, 91, of Kingsland, Texas, passed away Dec. 10, 2013, in Burnet, Texas, following a short illness. She was born to L.G. “Bob” and Golda (Cartwright) on Jan. 12, 1922, in Hughes Springs, Texas.

Frances was a homemaker who was very involved with her family. She graduated from Hughes Springs High School. She was a member of Buchanan West Baptist Church and a past member of First Baptist Church of Kingsland and Lakeside Baptist Church in Dallas.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Ted L. Hatcher; children, Linda Whitlow, Michael Hatcher and Tedilu Darbyshire; grandchildren, Brent Whitlow, Kelly Hatcher, Christi Rushing and Benjamin Darbyshire; and great-grandchildren, Emma Whitlow, Cameron and Isabella Hatcher and Megan and Preston Rushing.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy Brantley; previous husband, J.M. Hall; and grandson Mark Whitlow.

Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Dec. 13 at Putnam Funeral Home, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008. A funeral service is noon Dec. 14 at Buchanan West Baptist Church, 850 Lillian Dean St. in Buchanan Dam. Burial will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Burnet.
