12 Llano football players named to all-district teams
FROM STAFF REPORTS
LLANO — Twelve Llano High School football players were named to All-District 8-3A teams by division coaches.
Senior quarterback Layton Rabb was named the district’s Co-Offensive Most Valuable Player, sharing the honor with Liberty Hill’s Will Fromme.
“I thought we had good representation,” Yellow Jackets head coach Craig Slaughter said. “I was hoping we’d have another kid or two on the first team.”
The Yellow Jackets finished tied for second with Burnet in the district standings. Slaughter said the reason for the success of the team this season is because of the players’ commitment.
“We ask them to give us extra time after school. We ask them to come during the summer,” he said. “Most of the kids named to all-district, it’s a nonstop grind for those kids. Well deserved.”
