GRANITE SHOALS — Tickets are on sale for Vegas by the River, a fundraiser benefitting the Roddick Foundation Tennis Center and the Highland Lakes Elementary School after-school youth tennis program.

The event is 6:30 p.m. Nov. 23 at Lakeside Pavilion, 307 Buena Vista Drive in Marble Falls. 

Tickets are $100 each (buy three and get the fourth free) and may be purchased at IBC Bank, 2401 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls; C&D Home Products Studio, 1302 U.S. 281 South in Marble Falls; Grand Bank, 1800 Mormon Mill Road Suite A4 in Marble Falls; Ford & Crew Home and Hardware, 1400 Ninth St. in Marble Falls; Salem’s Jewelry, 518 U.S. 281 South in Marble Falls; and the Granite Shoals City Hall, 2221 N. Phillips Ranch Road in Granite Shoals.

The proceeds will be use to build two full-size courts at the tennis center, 2221 N. Phillips Ranch Road in Granite Shoals.

“(The courts) will be open to the public and the Marble Falls Independent School District athletic program,” said Dave Holder, director of fundraising at the center. “Students of Highland Lakes Elementary have been able to enjoy the new Quick Start courts and participate in an exciting after-school program.”

The event will feature casino games, entertainment by john Arthur martinez and a silent auction with items that include: a one-week stay at a riverfront cabin in Ruidoso, N.M., donated by Blanche and Jerry Roddick, Andy Roddick’s parents; a flat-screen television donated by C&D Home Products Studio; artwork donated by Pottery Ranch; a surprise item donated by Salem’s Jewelry; and more.
