San Marcos man dies after Texas 71 motorcycle accident near Round Mountain

ROUND MOUNTAIN — A motorcyclist has died a day after a collision on Texas 71 near the intersection of RM 962 in Llano County, according to Texas Department of Public Safety officials.
Justin Morgan, 26, of San Marcos died at University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin on Oct. 14 as a result of the collision, the report stated.
The two-vehicle crash happened just after 3 p.m. Oct. 13 at the intersection about a mile northwest of Round Mountain and three miles southwest of Horseshoe Bay.
According to the report, Morgan was on a 2011 Harley Davidson when he collided with a 2008 Nissan driven by a San Antonio woman.
A DPS spokesman said, “Vehicle 1 failed to yield, which was the Nissan, pulled out and struck the motorcycle.”
No other injuries were reported. The investigation is continuing.
