OBITUARY: Vicki Lynn Young, 56, of Kingsland dies Sept. 27, 2013

Vicki Lynn Young, 56, of Kingsland, Texas, passed away Sept. 27, 2013, in Austin. She was born in Austin on Aug. 14, 1957, to Lawrence and Betty (Davis) Dodson.

Vicki lived in Austin until moving to Kingsland in 1984. She married Lonnie Young on Nov. 4, 2000, in Marble Falls. She worked in kitchen service for Marble Falls Independent School District.

Vicki loved watching TV, especially “Wheel Of Fortune,” and, most especially, spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Young of Kingsland; daughter, Kayla Speece of Austin; son, James Dodson and wife Brooke of Llano; and two brothers, Clyde Dodson and wife Kathy of Llano and Keith Dodson and wife Charlotte of Granite Shoals. She also is survived by her grandchildren, Madison Dodson, Kaleb Dodson and Jasmine Marciel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Betty Dodson.

Visitation was Sept. 29 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300. A graveside service is 4 p.m. Sept. 30 at Llano City Cemetery in Llano with the Rev. Charles Venezio, pastor of Celebration Church in Georgetown, officiating.
