JOHNSON CITY — Fall is here, so it’s time to start planning for spring.

The Lyndon B. Johnson State Park & Historic Site is holding its annual Texas wildflowers seed-stomping event 1:30-3:30 p.m. Sept. 21-22.

Each year, the park invites families to help scatter wildflower seeds at the beginning of autumn for spring blooms. Native seed mixtures will be provided by the park.

Attendees will learn about former first lady Lady Bird Johnson’s passion for nature and the outdoors. The event also includes crafts for children.

The park is located about 14 miles west of Johnson City on Park Road 52 off U.S. 290.
