OBITUARY: Benjamin David Woodley, 90, of Buchanan Dam dies July 30, 2013

Benjamin David Woodley, 90, of Buchanan Dam passed July 30, 2013. He was born to Homer and Lilly (Coats) Woodley on June 10, 1923, in Syracuse, Kan.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a television and radio electrician.
Benjamin was a member of the American Legion of Kingsland and his wife, Hazel, who passed on June 3, 2012, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
He enjoyed fishing in Lake Buchanan and the Colorado River. They traveled all over the country in their motor home. Benjamin and Hazel were married in Tribune, Kan., on March 30, 1947. They moved to Buchanan Dam from Idaho Springs, Colo., in 1977.
He is survived by daughter and companion, SuzAnn Cummins and Wesley Williams of Kingsland; daughter and son-in-law, Lynni Melvin-Deville and Bill Melvin of Horseshoe Bay; and grandson, Jeremiah Jon Tomlinson of Aurora, Colo.
A celebration of life service is 11 a.m. Sept. 14 at Wesley’s Auto Repair, 3302 RR 1431 West in Kingsland. Officiating will be chaplain Harvey Klee and the Highland Lakes Honor Guard.
