Native Plant Festival and Garden Tour coming up

The planning committee for the Native Plant Festival and Garden Tour on Oct. 5 is hard at work putting together a full program for this year’s celebration of Native Plant Week with the theme, ‘Bring Back the Monarchs.’ In addition to garden tours of three local homes, there will be native plants for sale, information about plants and butterflies, a presentation about monarch butterflies, native tree adoptions, guided nature walks and hikes, bird watching at a bird blind, a watershed demonstration, children’s activities and more.
