Llano volleyball squad loses to Blanco, Boerne on the road

BOERNE — The Llano High School volleyball team suffered two road losses Aug. 20.
The Lady Jackets (4-7) fell to Blanco 28-30, 20-25, 23-25 and to Boerne High 15-25, 11-25, 6-25.
Llano head coach John Black said his squad played in back-to-back matches, and he liked that for one reason.
“It is a good measure of your overall conditioning,” he said. “I think we were very flat after losing a hard-fought match versus Blanco when we played Boerne.”
He said both opponents displayed many of the characteristics Llano will see from District 8-3A teams: strong serving, fundamentally sound and few unforced errors.
Llano will play in the Gatesville Tournament, 205 S. Lovers Lane in Gatesville, on Aug. 22 and 24.
