Texas A&M AgriLIFE Extension Service of Llano County holding banquet Aug. 29

SPECIAL TO THE PICAYUNE

LLANO — The 13th annual Extension Banquet is Aug. 29.

The event, sponsored by the Texas A&M AgriLIFE Extension Service of Llano County and the Llano County Leadership Advisory Board, is 6 p.m. in Schorlemmer Hall at St. James Lutheran Church, 1401 Ford St.

The guest speaker is Jennifer Reeves, the new Family and Consumer Sciences agent in Llano County. She will discuss the “2020 Plan” — what agriculture will be like in seven years — and how we can help develop and understand the trends and growth of the population and its agricultural needs.

Several award recipients within the Llano County Extension program also will be honored.

A catered meal by Inman’s Kitchen will be served. Donations to help with the cost of the meal will be accepted. Musical entertainment will be provided by John Cabellero, Harold Castleman and the Highway 16 Band.

Reservations are requested by Aug. 23 by calling the Extension Office at (325) 247-5159 or (325) 247-4849 or emailing vhorlen@ag.tamu.edu.
