She graduated from Marble Falls High School and San Marcos College.

In 1985, she and Monroe moved to Llano to take care of her aging parents. She then became secretary of Bluebonnet Baptist Church in Sunrise Beach for many years. Then, also while raising her granddaughter, she volunteered for five more years of cheer/sports booster club and PTO duties in Johnson City.
She enjoyed hunting, fishing, canning, baking, reading and caring for others.
She touched many lives from her 25 years of calling Victoria home to the 28 years of loving life in the Hill Country, where her life began. Through her difficult battle with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia in the last year, her final months were spent enjoying life surrounded by her family.
