MARBLE FALLS — The boats are tuned up and you can tune in to KBEY 103.9 FM Radio Picayune for live broadcasts from the 22nd annual Marble Falls LakeFest on Aug. 9-11.

We welcome you to join us for the thrills and chills that go along with the roar of the drag-boat races!

KBEY’s Ed Chandler will be in the open pit area at Johnson Park, 230 Ave. J South, on Aug. 9 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The fan-favorite Show and Shine — inviting you to see the racers and drag boats up close — and a concert by Texas KGB kick off at 7 p.m. Both are free events.

On Aug. 10, on-air personalities Kay Baker and Ben Shields, will broadcast from the KBEY 103.9 FM Radio Picayune tent in Lakeside Park on Buena Vista Drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during qualifying races down “the liquid quarter-mile” on Lake Marble Falls. Gates open at 7 a.m., and racing starts at 8 a.m. Tickets for qualifying races are $20 for ages 13 and older and $5 for ages 6-12. Another free concert with Allen Ray and the Southern Comfort Band is 8 p.m. Aug. 10 at Johnson Park.

The finals are Aug. 11 with gates opening at 7 a.m. and racing beginning at 8 a.m. Tickets are $20 for ages 13 and older and $5 for ages 6-12.

Three-day passes are $40 for ages 13 and older and $15 for ages 6-12.
