Water-storage tank work under way in Summit Rock in Horseshoe Bay
Work is under way on a $1.8 million elevated, water-storage tank in the new Summit Rock Subdivision in the city of Horseshoe Bay. Workers on July 24 hoisted the metal storage tank up the concrete pedestal 100 feet above the ground in a remote area southeast of FM 2147 West. The new tank will provide 750,000 gallons of drinking water within the concrete pedestal and storage vessel. Officials say the new tank enhances water pressure, improves firefighting capabilities and increases the capacity to manage peak usage demands. The tower is scheduled to be complete and placed in service in September. Courtesy photos
