BUCHANAN DAM — A 62-year-old man died after disappearing in Lake Buchanan on July 20.

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Game Warden Capt. Kevin Davis said Calsido Cisneros of Houston was swimming during a family gathering on Lake Buchanan when relatives noticed he was missing around 11 a.m.

“They began searching for him, but when they couldn’t find him they called 9-1-1,” Davis said.

Units from TPWD, the Lower Colorado River Authority, Llano County Sheriff’s Office and Buchanan Dam Volunteer Fire Department responded to the call.

Family members found the man in about 10 feet of water and began doing CPR, Davis said.

The man was transported to Scott & White Hospital-Llano. Emergency crews continued performing CPR on Cisneros all the way to the hospital, Davis said, but he was pronounced dead at the facility.
