Marble Falls 7-on-7 football team to compete in state-qualifying tournament

MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School 7-on-7 football team will take aim at qualifying for the state tournament for a second consecutive week.
The Mustangs will be in Lake Travis on June 1 for a state-qualifying tournament. Marble Falls is in Pool B and will face Round Rock McNeil at 9 a.m., Copperas Cove at 10 a.m. and Austin Bowie at 11 a.m. The winner of each of the four pools will advance to the semifinals and then play in a single-elimination bracket.
All pool games will be played at the Cavalier Track Stadium, 3324 RR 620 in Lake Travis.
The Mustangs finished the Round Rock Westwood qualifying tournament with a 1-2 record in pool play.
They defeated Austin Anderson 42-0 but lost to Lake Travis 27-26 and to Westwood 42-30.
