MARBLE FALLS — A benefit concert for Leslie Ray, a resident who has stage 3 cancer in his neck and throat, is 3 p.m. June 1.
The event features Billy Bacon and the Forbidden Pigs at The Pottery Ranch, 6000 U.S. 281 North.
Cost is $15 per person and includes barbecue, a jump castle for children, a chance to win prizes and a silent auction.
North Lake Jewelers owner Don MacDonald, who is helping to organize the event, said Billy Bacon and the Forbidden Pigs play several different genres of music.
“He does a little country, Western swing, Tex-Mex, rockabilly,” he said. “He does a little of everything. He’s a very accomplished musician.”
