OBITUARY: Cora Lee Faubion Gregg, 100, of Marble Falls dies May 21, 2013

Cora Lee Faubion Gregg was born March 12, 1913, to Eva Fowler and Carl Faubion of Spicewood, Texas, and died May 21, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lowell “Buck” Gregg; son, John Lowell Gregg; grandson Gregg Scott Phillips; three brothers; and four sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Janie Gregg Boyle and husband Pat of Austin and Judy Gregg Seward and husband Craig of Marble Falls; daughter-in-law, Deann Gregg of Mason; and grandchildren Fred Gregg and wife Melinda of Fredericksburg, Shawn Gregg and wife Kari of Houston, Damalu Gregg Hamrick and husband Greg of Liberty Hill, Russell Phillips and wife Debbie of Liberty Hill, Patti Boyle Kelly of Austin, Carrie Seward O’Connor and husband Scott of Hutto, Corey Seward Hogue and husband Pat of Brownfield and Jess Seward and wife Lillian of Goldthwaite. She also is survived by 11 great-grandchildren, Peyton and Brandon Kneese, Peyton and Jax Gregg, Kelsey and Karsyn Hamrick, Scott and Lane Phillips, Brantley and Braedyn O’Connor and Cole Hogue; many beloved nieces and nephews; and a host of dear friends.
She attended primary and elementary school in Spicewood and graduated from Denison High School in 1929. Cora Lee received her college degree from Southwest Texas State Teachers College in San Marcos and taught school for 29 years, with the last 25 years in the Marble Falls Independent School District.
She was a member of Rockvale Methodist Church in Spicewood at an early age until becoming a member of First United Methodist Church in Marble Falls, where Cora Lee attended until her death. She was a faithful member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class and United Methodist Women Bible Study.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church of Marble Falls, the Marble Falls High School Scholarship Fund or the charity of your choice.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. May 24 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373. A service is 10 a.m. May 25 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fowler Cemetery in Spicewood.
Pallbearers include grandsons Fred and Shawn Gregg, Russell Phillips and Jess Seward and nephews Bob Lewis, David Pinson, Sam and Bill Phillips and Jim Faubion. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Don Sanders, Karl Schwab, Bill Harshman, Lucius Jones, Dr. C.J. Whigham, Scott O’Connor, Pat Hogue, Greg Hamrick, James Herbort and Charlie Cummins. Ministers are Ellen Ely and Jon Weems of Marble Falls First United Methodist and Bro. Max Copeland.
