MARBLE FALLS — After playing to a 7-7 tie, the class of 2014 scored 20 unanswered points in the second half for a 27-7 victory against the class of 2013 in the annual powder puff game.
For the second consecutive year, the juniors defeated the seniors.
Junior quarterback Sarah Stripling threw three touchdown passes with two going to Tyler Oppenheim and one to Blanca Fonseca, who caught all three extra points.
Junior defensive back Hannah Dockery ran an interception back for a touchdown.
Fonseca said this win means a lot.
“We did our best, we played our hardest. We all gave it all our best,” Fonseca said.
The seniors scored their only touchdown on the opening drive when quarterback Hailey Wooten hit receiver Hayley Fishbeck in the end zone.
