Thomas Franklin Key, a longtime resident of Llano County, Texas, passed away May 15, 2013, at the age of 77. He was born to Josie Debra (Allen) and James Hilton Key on June 6, 1935, in San Saba County at his home on the Barnes Ranch.

He was a member of Llano First Baptist Church and loved listening to gospel and old country music.

Thomas is survived by sisters Ada Ruth Mallett of Burnet and Joan Oestreich and Joyce Staats, both of Llano; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and sister Imogene Cook.

A funeral service was May 18 at First Baptist Church in Llano with the Rev. Rick Cundieff officiating. Burial followed at Tow Cemetery. Pallbearers were members of his Sunday school class. Lee Duncan was honorary pallbearer.
