Main Street Market Day is here again! With more than 100 vendors, Main Street Market Day typically occurs three times a year. The second shopping day for 2013 happens May 11.

The outdoor shopping extravaganza features jewelry, clothing, home decor and the best of vintage collectibles. It attracts thousands of visitors and shoppers with exposure for local and regional businesses.

You don’t want to miss it — the next Main Street Market Day is not until Sept. 7.

Not just for shopping anymore

Historic Main Street in downtown Marble Falls is more than just a shopping destination. It’s the perfect venue for fun festivals in the heart of the city. This spring and summer, events will showcase shopping, competitive cars and man’s best friend.

• The fourth annual Marble Falls Soapbox Classic is scheduled June 1-16. It’s a Father’s Day weekend tradition. To find out how you can participate or to learn the best place to stand for the race, visit the website at www.adultsoapboxderby.com.

In March, the Marble Falls Walk-a-Dog-a-Thon strutted its stuff from Main Street to Johnson Park, 230 Ave. J South. The event benefited the Highland Lakes SPCA.
