Dianne Mahan, 68, of Kingsland, Texas, passed away April 24, 2013. She was born July 14, 1944, in Baton Rouge, La., to Geneva (McDowell) and Leslie Harris.

Dianne married Milton “Jimmy” Mahan II on Sept. 4, 2001, in Tomball, Texas. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards and loved her five dogs.

Survivors include her husband, Milton “Jimmy” Mahan II of Kingsland; daughters, Brenda Reichert and husband Chris of Conroe and Charmagne Acevedo of Porter; son, Teddy Doyle Whitaker of Tomball; sisters, Judy Bruetting of Baton Rouge and Polly Arnold, Donna Havis, Virginia Butler and Bonnie Palmer, all of Georgia; brothers, Carl Plitt and Alvin Plitt of Denham Springs, La.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leslie (Tamper) Harris; mother, Geneva McDowell Plitt; and son-in-law, Hector Acevedo.

A funeral service is 2 p.m. April 27 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 900 Industrial Blvd. in Kingsland, (325) 388-6767, with Mr. Chris Reichert and the Rev. Richard Vandeventer officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Reichert, Christopher Reichert, Cody Reichert, Aaron Acevedo, James Wilson and Mark Chapman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christ-Yoder Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 1041, Marble Falls, TX 78654.
